Let me tell you, from the girl point of view, it's because you're probably better than her boyfriend, and you're in a band, thus cooler by all means, and thus she feels threatened.
Idea: Give her a little shout-out Church-night, and sing your heart out, spellbrother. Someone will eventually let her know she's a little whacked..
